Best thing ever!

I love the convenience and quality. And a good price on a subscription!!

My pig has very sensitive lungs and I wanted the best quality dust free hay for him!

These boxes are a lifesaver! So easy to give them bay. No mess. My guys pull it out and sit in box sometimes but still way better than a loose bale of hay to deal with! I’m a Regular customer now

My guinea pigs love the hay and being able to hide in the box.

I love that I don't have to worry about making sure that there's enough hay in their cages for weeks. Only drawback is that it takes up room in the cage.
Prisca W.
This is the best quality hay I’ve seen in 7 years of keeping guinea pigs!!!
Julie B.
Love these! Caring for 4 piggies is a lot of work. Ensuring they have fresh hay is one less thing I have to worry about thanks to hay bars. There is a lot of hay packed into each bar,

Easy to use. Less mess. My two little piggies eat on it for about 2 1/2 weeks. Going to try the Orchard blend next.

I love the product but as soon as my Guinea pigs eat the bottom half they live in it and don’t get the top half. I try to push it down but they just treat it as a home after. I would love to see a string on each side so we could flip it after the bottom half is gone

My piggies LOVE their hay bar!!

My piggies enjoy the Nourish Series Hay Bar packs. I like them, too, with the exception of the way you secure them to the cage, using the strings tied to the cage. But I've figured out a way around that. I punch a hole on each side of the hay bar then slip a reusable zip tie through the holes and then attach to the cage. This seems more secure than just using the thin string plus I can adjust the hay bar easily since I"m using a reusable zip tie. I really prefer the original hay boxes where you attach the box to the cage with the clip, but the hay bars are a nice change. The quality of the hay is excellent, although I do find a lot of really short pieces, but that's okay as long as the quality of the hay is fine which it is. All in all my piggies and I give the Nourish Series Hay Bars an A!!!
Amrita S.
Bunnie and her siblings are big fans! She had some respiratory issues after we got an exceptionally dusty box of oxbow orchard grass hay but her lungs have been all clear after getting the GuineaDad timothy hay bar!
Cindy G.
This packaging of this quality hay is a God send …..it is easy to mount on the cage and accessible to my pigs for their enjoyment….it stays clean and fresh ……
Desiree B.
My pig loves these! His preferred method of consuming hay. <3
Nicole N.
So much less mess and less waste than loose hay and zero dust. My piggies love eating through the paper and eventually hide inside which is when I know it’s time to replace. I love the fact that I can throw the used hay bale in my compost bin.
Maggie M.
This boy loves his Guinea Dad hay! The hay bar makes it much easier for him to pull the pieces out. He even loves to crawl inside!
Reba P.
I love this hay and packaging. The ties on the package are never strong enough so I just use a piece of twine to tie it to the cage. My Guinea pig loves it and I don’t have to refill hay all the time. It also leave the area a lot cleaner then wire hay feeders.
Tahnie K.
Guinea's love it so much, they go right to town on it
David B.
These are cute, but not as easy to attach to the cage and far more messy that the other boxed hays that are available here on Guinea Dad. I will be switching back because there is just way too much waste with these bars. Cute idea though.
Jacob R.
The strings to tie to the cage are missing quite a bit of the time, and the perforations are extremely hard for my kids to pop out.
Cindy L.
They love to eat their way through the hay.
Cindy L.
My piggies enjoy the products and are very healthy and happy
Chynna S.
I got the subscription for the hay bars and I'm glad I did the boys LOVE them
michelle t.
Love the less mess
Katherine B.
It doesn't hold too well but its cute. So I'll keep it for now. But my next purchase will be the boxes again only cause my big babies they’re just too strong lmaoo
Kaye L.
My pigs Love the hay in these bags , and it keeps their cages neat and clean . No waste !
Rhiannon F.
Great concept, my boys are super messy eaters and this helps keep more hay in their bellies and less on the floor.
Chynna S.
They love to make a mess with it and love it more than the box hay
Patricia C.
Not as durable as the boxes, harder to connect to cage and Guinea pigs are able to pull it down. This does not work well with our Guinea pigs, do not plan on buying again, will go back to the boxes instead.
Mary A.
My piggies love their hay bar and so do I. I have a slight allergy to Timothy hay but thought I’d give this a try because the hay is contained. I use the litter box system for them, with litter and orchard hay. Any hay that spills out goes into they tray. They love it, I love it. Win-win.

I wanted to like the hay bar, but unfortunately I haven't had as much success with it as GuineaDad's 3 box pack of hay sold. The hay bar is a great deal for a lot of high-quality hay, but my boys tear open the bag, jump inside of it, and spread most of the hay all over their cage, wasting it entirely, which in the long run costs me more than it saves me.
The worst element of the hay bar, in my experience, is securing it to the cage. It isn't safe enough. No matter how tightly I tie it to the cage, my pigs always nudge it away and tunnel behind it. I'm afraid they will get stuck or hurt themselves doing this. They've even nudged it so hard the strings break away from the cage at times.
Tl;dr, if you have pigs that like to throw or nudge things around their cage... maybe reconsider the hay bar and get the boxed hay from GuineaDad instead.

I love this more than my piggies do. I have learned that pulling out tufts of hay gets their attention and they come running over to check out 'the new hay I added'. They do like to crawl into the bag once they've eaten enough to be able to do so. Keeps the dust down, which is why I chose this hay but the piggies don't go crazy over it.
Olivia R.
I found the bars difficult to attach to the side of the cage. The hay was very loosely packed so my more active pig was able to pull out most of the hay on day 1.
Rhonda P.
It took our girls time to familiarize themselves with it. Marble was the first to jump in. I would say the only setback is securing the hay bar. I find it hard to safely secure it with the string. I wrap and tie the string multiple times. I’m sure there is an efficient and better way. Other than that, the hay is easy to clean up and there is no dust! Our girls do much on this and it’s great!
Chris K.
Fantastic! My pigs love this hay & I do too. It's especially cute when they eat some then crawl into the bar to chill out. lol Very cost effective as it seems to last & the mess is better contained/there is less waste.
Hillary B.
I like the use of more sustainable material, my pigs enjoyed the Hay Bar.
Vicki
I waited a week of having it up before sharing a review. They seem to like it so much that one of my piggies stuck half of her body in. This worries me as the hay does seem to have some sharp pieces and I’m afraid of them poking their eye. My other piggie also had some wheezing the other day, which I never heard (she sneezed and seemed better). Wondering if sticking her face in the hay is causing a bit of allergy. Overall, seems to be a good deal for the amount you get. I never tried the other boxed one so not sure how it compares to that.
Leighann B.
I like the bag and that it ties to the cage. The only problem is that the hay is sharp and all 3 of my girls got hay poke and got infected. Wish it was longer and softer hay.
Julie B.
Mine love this bag design. It's easier to get to and the pieces are longer.
Diane O.
While the girls seem to love the hay, I have a tough time trying to tie the hay bar onto their wire grid cage. I like to keep the hay bar off the floor and it’s difficult to maneuver the hay so that I can make sure the strings are secure. I like the original 3 pack better with the clip method. It’s a faster method that gives the box that consistent position that I’m needing.
Jennifer O.
The hay in these looks to be of great quality and my piggies love it! It also keeps their home area nice and tidy because it doesn't spill out everywhere like past hay feeders we've used. I will definitely keep using these!
Barbra R.
Got our hay bar 5-pack today, and our piggies LOVE it! I almost didn't buy them because I thought $48 was a bit much, but these bags are a lot bigger in person than I thought they were from the photos. Just wanted to reach out and say thank you :-) We have a couple of extremely happy piggies right now!
Stephanie D.
While this is a really great feeder, the hay itself was in very small, sharp pieces. Unfortunately, one piece got in my piggy's eye and caused an infection. I would definitely rate 5 stars if the hay was longer and less choppy. It would be even better if the hay bar was offered with softer orchard or meadow hay.
Brooke E.
My piggies love this! It's our first time ordering hay from here. The hay is super fresh and has such a wonderful smell to it. My piggies couldn't wait for me to open the little windows. They were popcorning and shoving there faces in the windows.
Rosemary H.
I absolutely love that now you tie it up. I use the center strap and colored ribbon ties. Makes it easy to rotate the box keeps them guessing how to get in it.
I have it automatically sent and true to their word from when it leaves there it’s only a few days before I have. The 2 piggies are LaLa and stormy the other 2 I was watching for a friend never thought 4 could eat so much.
Lulu K.
The hays bar is so easy to put in the cage and it's so easy to replace! I love how safe it is for the environment and for my piggies to eat.
Rose H.
I love this product! It’s so convenient for both me and my piggies and there’s less mess! They love it! Definitely going to keep buying my piggies their Timothy hay bars!
